Description

Persicaria amplexicaulis JS Caliente is a striking perennial that adds vibrant colour and energy to the summer and autumn garden. It produces dense, upright spikes of fiery red flowers that rise above a mound of broad, lush green leaves, creating a dramatic contrast. Flowering over a long season, from midsummer well into autumn, it is highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making it both a decorative and ecologically valuable plant. Its strong vertical presence and glowing colour make it an excellent choice for mixed borders, wildlife gardens, and naturalistic planting schemes.

This variety thrives in moist, fertile soils and prefers a position in full sun to partial shade. Hardy in the UK climate, it is a low-maintenance plant, requiring only the removal of old stems in late winter to encourage fresh spring growth. Persicaria amplexicaulis JS Caliente is robust, reliable, and long-flowering, offering both structure and wildlife support, while also ensuring the garden remains full of colour late into the year.
