Description

Geranium sylvaticum \’Mayflower\’ is a hardy, perennial plant admired for its soft violet-blue flowers that bloom from late spring to early summer, creating a long-lasting and charming display. The wide, saucer-shaped blooms rise above deeply lobed, medium-green foliage that forms a dense, clump-forming habit, adding texture and structure to borders, meadows, or naturalistic plantings. Its flowers attract bees and other pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity while maintaining ornamental appeal.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soil, Geranium sylvaticum \’Mayflower\’ is hardy, low-maintenance, and adaptable to a variety of soil types. Occasional removal of spent flowers encourages fresh foliage and can extend the flowering period. Its combination of delicate blooms, lush foliage, and pollinator-friendly qualities makes it a versatile and reliable choice for cottage gardens, mixed borders, and naturalistic plantings.
