Description
Digitalis purpurea ‘Pam’s Choice’ is a biennial or short-lived perennial valued for its spikes of tubular, soft pink flowers with darker markings that bloom from late spring to early summer. The upright flower stems rise above clumps of dark green, lance-shaped foliage, adding height and vertical interest to borders, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. Its nectar-rich blooms attract bees and butterflies, supporting garden biodiversity.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soil, Digitalis purpurea ‘Pam’s Choice’ benefits from staking in exposed positions to support its tall flower spikes. Cutting back spent flowers helps maintain a tidy appearance and can encourage further flowering. Hardy and relatively low-maintenance, this cultivar provides vibrant summer colour and architectural structure, making it an excellent choice for sunny or lightly shaded borders.
