Description
Pulmonaria vallarsae ‘Margery Fish’ is a clump-forming perennial that produces soft pink to pale rose, funnel-shaped flowers in early spring above a rosette of fresh green foliage with prominent silver markings. The flowers provide early-season colour and texture in borders, rockeries, or shaded containers. Its low, compact habit makes it ideal for underplanting shrubs or planting along shaded pathways. This cultivar attracts early-season pollinators, offering both ecological and ornamental value while enhancing the visual appeal of spring gardens.
It thrives in partial shade to full shade in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Low-maintenance once established, it benefits from regular watering during dry spells. Although non-native to the UK, it provides reliable spring colour and long-lasting structural interest in shaded garden settings.
