Papaver ‘Harvest Moon’

Description

‘Harvest Moon’ is a magnificent Oriental Poppy that features large, semi-double, crpe-paper-like blooms in a glowing, warm shade of tangerine or peachy-orange. The intensely coloured, cup-shaped flowers possess dark, velvety centres and are held aloft on bristly, sturdy stems above rosettes of deeply cut, hairy foliage.

Oriental Poppies possess a long, fleshy taproot and must be planted in very well-drained soil, as sitting in wet ground will quickly cause them to rot. They naturally go entirely dormant and disappear underground shortly after flowering; plant them alongside later-blooming perennials to fill the gap left behind by the dying foliage.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
