Kniphofia rooperi – 2026

Description

Kniphofia rooperi is a striking perennial that adds late-season colour and architectural interest to the garden. Its upright flower spikes produce soft greenish-white buds that open into creamy-yellow tubular blooms, creating a subtle yet elegant display. The arching, grass-like foliage forms dense clumps, providing structure and a lush green backdrop for the tall flowers. Ideal for borders, mixed perennial beds, or naturalistic plantings, this variety adds texture and vertical height while maintaining a refined, understated presence.

This hardy perennial thrives in well-drained soils and prefers full sun. Flowering from late summer into early autumn, Kniphofia rooperi is valued for its long-lasting blooms, low-maintenance growth, and ability to attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Its combination of soft colours, graceful form, and resilience makes it an excellent choice for adding ornamental and ecological value to sunny garden areas.
