Description
Heliopsis helianthoides ‘Summer Pink’ is a bushy, deciduous herbaceous perennial that produces bright yellow daisy-like flowers with orange-red centres from July through September. These blooms are borne on sturdy, upright stems above variegated foliage with pink, green, and white hues and dark red to green veins, creating a striking display in the garden. The plant’s fine-textured appearance makes it an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, and as a filler in floral arrangements. Its compact size and extended flowering period provide both structure and seasonal colour.
Preferring full sun and moist, well-drained soils, ‘Summer Pink’ is hardy in a variety of climates and can tolerate dry conditions once established. Regular watering during dry spells and occasional division every few years will help maintain its vigour. Its resilience and low-maintenance nature make it a reliable and attractive addition to any garden, offering long-lasting colour and ecological benefits for pollinators.
