Geum coccineum ‘Koi’ – 2026

Description

Geum coccineum ‘Koi’ is a hardy, perennial plant admired for its vibrant orange-red flowers that bloom from late spring to early summer, creating a long-lasting and striking display. The cup-shaped blooms rise above bright green, clump-forming foliage that adds texture and structure to borders, cottage gardens, or naturalistic plantings. Its flowers attract bees and other pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity while enhancing ornamental appeal.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil, Geum coccineum ‘Koi’ is hardy, low-maintenance, and adaptable to a variety of soil types. Occasional removal of spent flowers encourages fresh foliage and can prolong the flowering period. Its combination of vibrant blooms, lush foliage, and pollinator-friendly qualities makes it a versatile and reliable choice for mixed borders, cottage gardens, and naturalistic plantings.
