Description
Eupatorium rugosum \’Snowball\’ is a captivating perennial that adds both texture and colour to sunny borders and damp meadows. This cultivar produces large, dome-shaped clusters of creamy-white flowers atop sturdy, upright stems, creating a striking effect from mid to late summer. The dark green, lance-shaped leaves form a dense, bushy clump that supports the flowering stems. \’Snowball\’ is particularly attractive to butterflies, enhancing garden biodiversity.
Preferring full sun to part shade and moist, well-drained soil, \’Snowball\’ is relatively low-maintenance. Its tall stature makes it suitable for planting in the back of borders, near ponds, or in naturalized areas. Regular removal of spent flowers encourages prolonged blooming, while leaving some seed heads provides winter interest and food for birds. With its dramatic appearance and ecological benefits, \’Snowball\’ is a valuable addition to any garden.
