Campanula ‘Superba’

Description

Campanula Superba is a highly vigorous, spreading clustered bellflower that delivers an incredibly rich, saturated wave of deep violet-purple blooms. Unlike polite clumping varieties, it utilizes highly active underground runners to spread rapidly through the soil, making it the absolute perfect choice for quickly filling massive, empty gaps in your beds and pulling in huge numbers of pollinators.

This thirsty plant thrives when planted in rich, organic loam that acts like a wrung-out sponge, providing the steady hydration needed to support its relentless, fast-paced growth. Because it is an aggressive sprinter, you must proactively control the edges with a sharp spade, chopping away the outer runners to prevent it from suffocating delicate neighbours. Deadhead the purple blooms continuously to keep the dense display looking tidy.

The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
