Description
Anemone tomentosa \’Robustissima\’ is a vigorous, hardy perennial prized for its late-summer to autumn display of soft lilac-pink, cup-shaped flowers that sit above a carpet of finely divided, grey-green foliage. This variety is valued for its extended flowering season, adding colour to borders when many other perennials have finished blooming. It spreads gently via rhizomes, forming clumps over time, and is excellent for naturalistic plantings, woodland edges, or mixed perennial borders. The flowers attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, enhancing biodiversity in the garden, while the plants foliage adds structure and interest throughout the season. Easy to grow and low-maintenance, it thrives in well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade and benefits from occasional division to maintain vigour.
