Description

Acer palmatum Orange Dream is a vibrant Japanese maple celebrated for its colourful and ever-changing foliage. In spring, the leaves emerge a bright orange-yellow, softening to yellow-green in summer, before turning fiery shades of gold and orange in autumn. Its upright, bushy form and vivid seasonal colour changes make it a striking feature in borders, woodland gardens, or containers, where it provides long-lasting ornamental appeal throughout the year.

This deciduous shrub thrives in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and prefers a sheltered spot in partial shade, though it can tolerate full sun if protected from strong winds and excessive heat. Well suited to the UK climate, it requires little maintenance beyond light pruning to shape if needed. With its bold spring colour, graceful habit, and fiery autumn tones, Acer palmatum Orange Dream is a versatile and elegant choice for adding structure, texture, and changing seasonal interest to the garden.
