Winter gem Apple

Description

Winter Gem is a traditional English dessert apple variety prized for its sweet, aromatic flavour and attractive medium to large fruit. The tree develops a moderately vigorous, spreading habit with healthy green foliage and produces apples with yellow skin flushed with red. The flesh is crisp, juicy and pleasantly sweet, making it ideal for fresh eating and light culinary use.

In spring, Winter Gem is covered in abundant white blossom that attracts bees and other pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity. It thrives in fertile, well drained soil and a sunny position, allowing fruit to fully develop flavour and colour. Well suited to UK gardens and allotments, Winter Gem combines ornamental appeal, ecological value and a reliable late autumn to winter harvest.
