Description
Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Erica’ is a tall, elegant perennial that produces narrow spires of soft light pink flowers from midsummer to early autumn. The flower spikes rise above whorls of lance-shaped green leaves, creating a vertical, architectural form that adds height and texture to borders and naturalistic plantings. Its delicate, pastel-coloured blooms make it ideal for combining with ornamental grasses, late-summer perennials, and meadow-style schemes, offering both visual interest and movement.
This variety thrives in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and prefers full sun to partial shade. Consistent moisture encourages vigorous growth and prolonged flowering. Once established, it requires minimal maintenance beyond cutting back spent stems and occasional division to rejuvenate clumps. Highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, Erica provides both ornamental charm and ecological value for wildlife-friendly gardens.
