Description
Stachys officinalis \’Rosea\’ is a clump-forming perennial featuring aromatic green foliage and upright spikes of soft rose-pink flowers that bloom from mid to late summer. The flower spikes rise gracefully above the foliage, adding vertical interest and vibrant colour to borders, cottage gardens, and naturalistic plantings. The nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, providing ecological value as well as ornamental appeal.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil, Stachys officinalis \’Rosea\’ is hardy and low-maintenance. Cutting back after flowering encourages new growth and helps maintain a neat, compact habit. Its combination of striking flowers, architectural form, and wildlife appeal makes it a versatile and rewarding addition to a range of garden settings, bringing summer colour and pollinator support.
