Description
Sedum ‘Rainbow Xenox’, also known as Hylotelephium ‘Rainbow Xenox’, is a clump-forming perennial admired for its fleshy, grey-green foliage and clusters of striking star-shaped flowers that transition from pink to orange as they mature, blooming from late summer into early autumn. The upright stems rise above the compact foliage, creating a textured, colourful display that works beautifully in borders, gravel gardens, and container plantings. The long-lasting flowers provide extended seasonal interest and visual appeal.
Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this drought-tolerant plant performs well in poor or stony conditions. The nectar-rich blooms attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, enhancing the garden’s ecological value. Low-maintenance and hardy, Sedum ‘Rainbow Xenox’ requires occasional trimming of spent flower heads to maintain neatness and encourage fresh growth. Its combination of vibrant foliage, colourful blooms, and resilience makes it a versatile and attractive choice for a wide range of garden settings.
