Malus Royalty Maiden

Description

Royalty Maiden is a striking ornamental crab apple tree valued for its deep pink spring blossom, rich purple foliage and decorative dark red fruits. The tree forms a rounded to spreading canopy and provides strong visual impact throughout the growing season, with foliage retaining a dark, wine coloured tone. The small fruits add autumn interest and are generally ornamental rather than grown for culinary use.

In spring, Royalty Maiden produces masses of deep pink flowers that are rich in nectar and pollen, making it highly beneficial for bees and other pollinators. It grows well in fertile, well drained soil and performs best in a sunny position where foliage colour and flowering are most intense. Well suited to UK gardens and ornamental planting schemes, Royalty Maiden combines dramatic colour, seasonal interest and strong ecological value.
