Description
Lavandula intermedia \’Grosso\’ is a robust and aromatic evergreen perennial, prized for its long, deep purple flower spikes and silvery-grey foliage. The tall, upright flowers rise above dense mounds of foliage, creating a striking and well-structured display in borders, herb gardens, and sunny mixed plantings. Its intense fragrance enhances sensory appeal, while the strong, bushy habit provides year-round form and architectural interest.
This hardy lavender thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, making it ideal for sunny garden locations, large borders, and container cultivation. Flowering from early to late summer, \’Grosso\’ is valued for its low-maintenance growth, drought tolerance, and its ability to attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Its combination of vivid colour, long-lasting blooms, and aromatic foliage ensures it brings both ornamental and ecological value to a wide range of garden schemes.
