Description
Iris germanica Burning Bright is a striking tall bearded iris cultivar known for its vibrant, ruffled, chrome sulphur-yellow blooms. The flowers feature self-coloured beards and flared petals that add to their dramatic appearance. Blooming in late midseason to very late, it creates a bright and cheerful display in the garden. The upright sword-shaped, glaucous green foliage remains attractive after flowering, providing structure and interest.
This iris thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it suitable for borders, rock gardens, or as a focal point. Regular division helps maintain vigour and flowering performance. It attracts pollinators and contributes to garden biodiversity, combining ornamental beauty with ecological value.
