Description
Iris germanica Blessed Again is an intermediate bearded iris combining soft yellow standards with warm white falls and an orange beard, lighter at the tip. It presents an elegant bicolour effect that brings brightness in spring, and often a second flush of blooms in autumn under favourable conditions. The flowers are fragrant, adding another layer of appeal. The foliage forms upright, sword-shaped leaves of glaucous green that frame the blooms and retain their shape after flowering.
This iris enjoys full sun in well-drained, fertile soil, and is ideal for borders, slopes or locations exposed to wind since its moderate height keeps stems more stable. It rapidly forms attractive clumps and can be relied upon for multiple seasons with proper care, including dividing every few years and ensuring good drainage. Its ecological value includes attracting pollinators and contributing seasonal interest with its rebloom capability.
