Description
Hosta sieboldiana \’Buckshaw Blue\’ is a striking perennial renowned for its intense blue foliage and refined habit. The large, heart-shaped leaves are thick, deeply veined and slightly corrugated, forming a dense mound that adds texture and colour to shaded or partially shaded gardens. In mid to late summer, tall scapes rise above the foliage carrying near-white flowers, providing vertical interest and attracting pollinators.
This cultivar thrives in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and prefers partial shade to full shade. Resistant to verticillium wilt and low-maintenance once established, it is excellent for borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen where its bold colour and substantial form can be appreciated.
