Hosta ‘Lakeside Storm Watch’ – 2026

Description

Hosta ‘Lakeside Storm Watch’ is a captivating miniature perennial that adds unique texture and colour to shaded garden spaces. This cultivar features elliptic-shaped, dark green leaves with a very long, thin tip, forming a small mound of very wavy, shiny foliage. The foliage forms a compact mound, making it an excellent choice for borders, woodland gardens, or containers.

In mid to late summer, ‘Lakeside Storm Watch’ produces upright scapes adorned with pale purple, bell-shaped flowers that rise above the foliage, attracting pollinators such as hummingbirds. This hosta thrives in moist, well-drained, organically rich soil and prefers partial to full shade. Once established, it is relatively low-maintenance and offers excellent slug resistance due to its thick, textured leaves. ‘Lakeside Storm Watch’ is a versatile and dependable perennial that adds both visual appeal and ecological value to shaded areas.
