Description
Hosta ‘Great Arrival’ is a large, clump-forming perennial known for its bold variegated foliage and substantial presence in shaded gardens. The leaves are broad, blue-green with a wide creamy-yellow margin that gradually fades to white as the season progresses. The heavily corrugated, thick leaves form a dense, rounded mound, providing strong architectural interest and texture. Its dramatic leaf contrast makes it a standout in borders, woodland settings, or as a specimen plant, offering lasting ornamental appeal throughout the growing season.
In mid to late summer, ‘Great Arrival’ produces tall scapes bearing near-white, bell-shaped flowers that rise above the foliage, attracting pollinators and adding vertical interest. The plant thrives in rich, moist, well-drained soil and prefers partial to full shade. It is low maintenance, reliable, and resilient, making it suitable for a wide range of garden situations. Mulching and regular watering help preserve leaf colour and vigour.
