Description
Hosta ‘Golden Tiara’ is a compact, mound-forming perennial valued for its bright foliage and adaptability in smaller gardens. Its heart-shaped leaves are medium green with an irregular yellow margin that lightens to creamy tones as the season progresses. The plant grows quickly and forms neat clumps that fit well into borders, containers, or shaded pathways, where its lively colours add contrast against darker foliage. Its manageable size and reliable performance have made it a popular choice among gardeners looking for a tidy yet decorative hosta.
During summer, ‘Golden Tiara’ produces slender scapes topped with clusters of purple, bell-shaped flowers that stand gracefully above the foliage. It grows best in moist but well-drained soil and thrives in partial to full shade, though a little morning sun will intensify its variegation. With good resistance and low maintenance requirements, it remains a durable option that provides lasting ornamental value across the growing season.
