Description
Hosta fortunei \’Francee\’ is a medium-sized, vigorous perennial that forms a dense, arching mound of heart-shaped, dark green leaves with narrow white margins. The foliage is slightly puckered and maintains its attractive appearance throughout the growing season. This cultivar is a sport of H. \’Fortunei Albomarginata\’ and is known for its excellent variegation and sun tolerance.
In mid to late summer, \’Francee\’ produces funnel-shaped, pale lavender flowers in dense racemes atop scapes rising above the foliage mound. These blooms attract pollinators and add vertical interest to the garden. \’Francee\’ is a reliable choice for landscaping, performing well in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soils.
