Description
Hemerocallis ‘Always Afternoon’ is a distinctive daylily renowned for its large, soft pink flowers, each highlighted by a prominent purple eye and gently ruffled edges. Blooming in early to midsummer, its showy flowers rise gracefully above arching clumps of green, strap-like foliage, making it an excellent choice for adding reliable colour to borders, mixed perennial plantings, and cottage-style schemes. Its nectar-rich blooms are attractive to bees and butterflies, providing valuable support for pollinators during the warmer months.
This cultivar thrives best in full sun to partial shade and grows well in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It is hardy, easy to maintain, and benefits from occasional division of clumps as well as the removal of spent blooms to prolong the display. With its long-lasting appeal and resilience, Hemerocallis ‘Always Afternoon’ is a striking addition to gardens, offering colour and structure with minimal effort.
