Description
Helenium ‘Double Trouble’ is a hardy perennial admired for its striking yellow double daisy-like flowers with subtle orange centres that bloom from midsummer into autumn, creating a long-lasting and vibrant display. The upright, branching blooms rise above clumps of bright green foliage, adding structure, texture, and colour to borders, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. Its flowers attract bees and butterflies, providing both ornamental and ecological value.
Thriving in full sun with moist, fertile, well-drained soil, Helenium ‘Double Trouble’ is low-maintenance and easy to grow. Deadheading spent flowers encourages prolonged flowering, while cutting back in spring maintains a compact and healthy form. Hardy and resilient, this cultivar delivers reliable late-summer to autumn colour and pairs well with ornamental grasses or other late-flowering perennials.
