Hamamelis ‘Orange Beauty’

Description

Hamamelis Orange Beauty certainly lives up to its name! Better known as Witch Hazel, this winter flowering shrub produces masses of spidery blooms from midwinter to late winter. The flowers have a yellow-orange hue and are tinged with purple towards the centre.

Light green foliage emerges in spring and is flushed with purple before turning dark green for summer. In autumn, the elliptic leaves take on fiery shades of orange and yellow for striking autumn colour.

Witch Hazel is a low maintenance garden shrub that is easy to grow and look after. It prefers slightly acidic, moist but well-drained soil and flourishes in full sun or partial shade. Mulch in spring to help retain moisture in the soil and prune as required to remove dead or damaged branches.
