Gooseberry ‘Achilles’

Description

Gooseberry Achilles is a thornless shrub that produces large, red berries with a sweet and tangy flavor. This variety is perfect for fresh eating, baking, and making preserves. The plant blooms with small, greenish-yellow flowers in the spring, followed by a mid-summer harvest of delicious berries.

Growing up to 100-120cm tall and wide, Gooseberry Achilles is suitable for garden beds and containers. It thrives in well-drained, fertile soil and prefers full sun to partial shade. Regular watering, particularly during the fruiting season, ensures a healthy and productive plant. With its thornless canes and high fruit quality, Gooseberry Achilles is an excellent addition to any garden.
