Geranium macrorrhizum ‘Ingwersen’s Variety’ – 2026

Description

Geranium macrorrhizum ‘Ingwersen’s Variety’ is a reliable, semi-evergreen perennial known for its soft pink flowers and fragrant foliage. Blooming in late spring to early summer, the delicate blooms rise above mounds of lobed green leaves that release a pleasant aroma when touched. As the seasons change, the foliage often takes on attractive red and bronze tints, extending its decorative value well beyond the flowering period. Its dense, mat-forming habit makes it an excellent choice for ground cover, effectively suppressing weeds and stabilising soil while supporting pollinators.

Adaptable and easy to grow, this variety thrives in full sun to partial shade and copes well with a wide range of soils, including drier conditions once established. Hardy and low-maintenance, Geranium macrorrhizum ‘Ingwersen’s Variety’ is especially suited to borders, slopes, and woodland gardens where dependable performance and year-round interest are desired.
