Description
Epimedium ‘Asiatic Hybrid’ is a hardy, deciduous perennial admired for its delicate, star-shaped flowers that bloom in spring, often in shades of pink, purple, yellow, or white, above a carpet of heart-shaped, evergreen to semi-evergreen foliage. The attractive leaves may develop reddish or bronze tones in autumn, providing year-round interest and texture to shaded borders, woodland gardens, or underplantings. Its nectar-rich flowers attract early-season pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity.
Thriving in partial shade to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, Epimedium ‘Asiatic Hybrid’ benefits from removing old foliage in late winter to reveal fresh spring growth and maintain a tidy appearance. Hardy and low-maintenance, this cultivar is valued for its elegant flowers, ornamental foliage, and adaptability to shaded garden conditions, making it an excellent choice for woodland or naturalistic plantings.
