Echinacea purpurea ‘Yellow Passion’ – 2026

Description

Echinacea purpurea ‘Yellow Passion’ is a vibrant and compact perennial that adds a burst of colour to any garden. This cultivar features large, daisy-like flowers with slightly curled, yellow petals surrounding a dark central cone, creating a striking visual appeal. The upright, bushy habit makes it ideal for borders, containers, or as a focal point in smaller garden spaces. Flowering from early to late summer, ‘Yellow Passion’ provides extended colour and attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies, enhancing garden biodiversity.

Preferring full sun and well-drained soil, ‘Yellow Passion’ is drought-tolerant once established and relatively low-maintenance. Regular deadheading encourages prolonged blooming, while leaving some seed heads provides winter interest and food for birds. This cultivar pairs beautifully with grasses, rudbeckias, and salvias, adding a touch of elegance to perennial borders or mixed garden beds. With its unique appearance and ecological benefits, ‘Yellow Passion’ is a valuable addition to any garden.
