Description
Delphinium \’Delphi\’s Misty\’ is a tall, hardy perennial prized for its elegant spikes of soft, misty lilac-blue flowers that bloom from mid to late summer. The densely packed flowers rise above finely divided dark green foliage, creating dramatic vertical interest in borders, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. Its nectar-rich blooms attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, adding both ornamental and ecological value.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade with fertile, well-drained soil, Delphinium \’Delphi\’s Misty\’ benefits from staking to support its tall flower spikes. Removing spent stems helps maintain a tidy appearance and can encourage prolonged flowering in favourable conditions. Hardy, long-flowering, and relatively low-maintenance, this cultivar provides a striking display of vertical colour and architectural structure, making it an excellent choice for summer borders.
