Alstroemeria ‘Spring Valley’

Description

This striking outdoor perennial is ideal for any style of garden. It adds texture and colour to mixed beds and borders but also grows well in pots. The compact size and shape make Alstroemeria Spring Valley a great choice for brightening up patios with a container garden.

Also known as Peruvian Lily, this garden-ready plant features lush, mid-green foliage that perfectly complements the vibrant yellow flowers that cover it from late spring to the first frosts. The funnel-shaped blooms make long-lasting cut flowers and are very popular for bouquets and indoor floral displays. They are also super-attractive to pollinators, enticing bees and butterflies into the garden.

Alstroemeria Spring Valley is a surprisingly low-maintenance garden plant that is easy to grow and care for. It is relatively drought-tolerant, however, if grown in pots it needs to be watered regularly during dry spells. Prune spent clusters after flowering to promote repeat blooms and cut back spent stems before new shoots emerge in spring. Alstroemeria plants tolerate partial shade, but prefer a warm, sunny spot in well-draining soil.
