Alcea ‘Double Scarlet’

Description

Alcea Double Scarlet, also known as Hollyhock, brings a beautifully traditional feel to the garden with its tall spires of bold, scarlet-red, fully double blooms. The ruffled flowers create a wonderfully romantic display, adding height, colour, and movement to borders, beds, and cottage style planting schemes. Its elegant form makes it a lovely choice for adding structure and a gentle vertical accent wherever you need a touch of classic charm.

Plant Hollyhock in a sunny, well drained spot and water regularly while it settles in, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings once established. A sheltered position helps the tall stems stay upright, and removing faded blooms will encourage further flowering and keep the plant looking its best throughout the season. With just a little attention, Alcea Double Scarlet rewards you with a graceful summer display and a timeless presence in the garden.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
