Description
Agapanthus ‘Amsterdam’ is a hardy perennial valued for its large, rounded clusters of deep blue flowers that bloom from midsummer into early autumn. The strap-like green leaves form dense, evergreen clumps, providing structure and year-round interest in borders, containers, or sunny garden areas. Its vibrant flowers attract bees and other pollinators, adding both colour and ecological value.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil, ‘Amsterdam’ is relatively low-maintenance and tolerant of dry conditions once established. The combination of architectural foliage, long-lasting flower heads, and pollinator-friendly blooms makes it an ideal choice for borders, patio containers, or mixed perennial plantings.
