Description
Yucca filamentosa ‘Bright Edge’ is an evergreen perennial prized for its architectural rosettes of rigid, sword-shaped green leaves edged with creamy-white margins. The variegated foliage creates a striking contrast in borders, rockeries, or container plantings, adding year-round interest. In summer, tall flower spikes emerge from the centre, bearing clusters of creamy-white, bell-shaped blooms that attract pollinators and enhance its ecological value.
This variety thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, demonstrating excellent drought tolerance once established. Low-maintenance and hardy, it requires minimal care beyond removing old leaves and spent flower spikes. Its sculptural form, striking variegation, and summer flowering make Yucca filamentosa ‘Bright Edge’ an eye-catching addition to contemporary, wildlife-friendly, or xeriscaped gardens.
