Description
Veronica spicata ‘First Lady’ is a compact, clump-forming perennial that produces upright spikes of pure white flowers above narrow, lance-shaped green foliage. Blooming from early to late summer, the flower spikes provide a long-lasting vertical display, adding height, structure, and brightness to borders, mixed plantings, and wildlife-friendly gardens. Its tidy habit and crisp white blooms make it ideal for the front of borders, container plantings, or cut flower arrangements.
This variety thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. It is highly attractive to pollinators, including bees and butterflies, providing abundant nectar throughout the flowering season. Once established, it requires minimal maintenance, with occasional deadheading helping to prolong bloom and maintain tidy growth. Veronica spicata ‘First Lady’ combines ornamental charm with ecological value, making it a reliable and elegant choice for sunny garden borders.
