Thalictrum ‘Black Stockings’

Description

Also known as meadow rue, Thalictrum Black Stockings is a tall-growing flowering perennial ideal for growing towards the back of borders. Tall black stems bear lavish sprays of fluffy purple-pink flowers that stand elegantly above lacy green leaves. While its impressive height creates structure, Thalictrum Black Stockings has an almost whimsical appearance them makes it an excellent choice for informal or cottage gardens.

Thalictrum Black Stockings is a herbaceous perennial, so dies back below ground level towards the end of autumn. It remains dormant over winter before emerging back to life in spring.

These are low maintenance garden plants, demanding very little attention to thrive. Water moderately during dry spells and cut back dead foliage when it dies back at the end of the season.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
