Scrumptious Apple

Description

Scrumptious is a modern English dessert apple variety prized for its crisp texture, sweet-tart flavour and attractive medium sized fruit. The tree develops a moderately vigorous, spreading habit with healthy green foliage and produces apples with red and yellow striped skin. The flesh is firm, juicy and aromatic, making it ideal for fresh eating and suitable for cooking or salads.

In spring, Scrumptious is covered in abundant white blossom that attracts bees and other pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity. It thrives in fertile, well drained soil and a sunny position, where fruit can fully develop flavour and vibrant colour. Well suited to UK gardens, Scrumptious combines ornamental appeal, ecological value and a reliable autumn harvest with relatively straightforward care requirements.
