Description
The Plum Coe’s Golden Drop is a distinguished and traditional variety of plum, known for its exceptional flavour and appealing appearance. This heritage fruit is cherished for its large, oval shape and vibrant golden-yellow skin, often with a subtle blush of red. The flesh is rich, juicy, and has a delightful honeyed sweetness, making it a favourite for both fresh consumption and culinary uses such as jams, desserts, and preserves.
Originating from the early 19th century, the Coe’s Golden Drop plum was developed by Jervaise Coe, a nurseryman from Suffolk.
