Petunia Ray Shadow Basket Plants

Description

With its highly unique, dark-throated flowers, the Petunia Ray Shadow uses its vigorous mat-forming vines to cascade heavily down the sides of any suspended container. It is a tender, fast-growing hybrid that requires full, direct sun to stop its sticky stems from becoming leggy and weak. It is a spectacular performer in the summer heat but will completely collapse the moment the winter frost hits the garden.

Keep your watering can handy, as this sprawling plant requires a ‘normal’ and highly consistent moisture environment to thrive. Rehydrate the basket deeply as soon as the compost surface feels dry, keeping the underlying soil profile perfectly moist and spongy at all times. Failing to keep up with its hydration demands will quickly result in yellowing leaves and a complete halt in flower production.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
