Malus Jelly King Apple

Description

Jelly King is a compact ornamental crab apple tree prized for its heavy crops of bright red fruits and excellent culinary value. The tree forms a neat, rounded habit with fresh green foliage and produces masses of small, vivid red apples that are exceptionally rich in pectin. The fruit is sharp and aromatic, making it particularly well suited to jelly making, preserves and cooking rather than fresh eating.

In spring, Jelly King is covered in white blossom that is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, contributing positively to garden biodiversity. It grows well in fertile, well drained soil and performs best in a sunny position, where flowering and fruiting are most reliable. Well suited to UK gardens, especially smaller spaces, Jelly King combines ornamental appeal, strong wildlife value and outstanding practical usefulness.
