Description
Kniphofia ‘Tawny King’ is a bold perennial that brings rich, warm tones and strong vertical interest to the garden. Its upright flower spikes are adorned with tawny-orange tubular blooms that fade to golden-yellow at the base, creating a dramatic, fiery display. The narrow, grass-like green foliage forms neat clumps, providing structure and contrast that highlights the vibrant flowers. Ideal for borders, mixed beds, or as a focal point, ‘Tawny King’ adds height, colour, and architectural appeal to sunny garden areas.
This hardy perennial thrives in well-drained soils and prefers full sun. Flowering from midsummer into early autumn, ‘Tawny King’ is valued for its long-lasting blooms, low-maintenance growth, and ability to attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Its combination of striking colour, upright form, and reliability makes it a standout choice for ornamental and ecological planting schemes.
