Description
Kniphofia ‘Green Jade’ is a distinctive perennial that brings unique colouring and elegant structure to the garden. Its upright flower spikes are adorned with creamy-white blooms that gradually fade to soft green, giving a cool, refreshing look that stands out from the fiery hues more typical of the genus. The slender, grass-like foliage forms neat clumps that provide year-round structure, while the tall flower spikes rise dramatically above, adding architectural appeal. This unusual colouring makes ‘Green Jade’ an excellent choice for contrasting with more vibrant perennials or for creating a calming planting scheme.
Thriving in well-drained soils and full sun, this hardy perennial is both resilient and versatile. Flowering through the summer months, ‘Green Jade’ is valued for its long-lasting display, reliability, and its ability to attract bees and other pollinators. Low in maintenance yet high in impact, it is ideal for borders, mixed beds, and focal planting where its cool-toned blooms can shine.
