Description
Hosta ‘Emerald Ruff Cut’ is a striking, medium-sized perennial that forms a dense, upright clump of thick, heart-shaped leaves. The foliage features a bright gold centre surrounded by wide, dark green margins, creating a bold contrast that adds visual interest to shaded garden areas. The leaves are slightly wavy and have a slightly corrugated texture, enhancing their ornamental appeal.
In mid to late summer, ‘Emerald Ruff Cut’ produces tall scapes adorned with clusters of pale lavender flowers with a hint of fragrance, adding vertical interest and attracting pollinators. This cultivar thrives in moist, well-drained soils and prefers partial to full shade. It is relatively low-maintenance, requiring minimal care to thrive and provide year-round interest in the garden.
