Hemerocallis ‘Autumn Red’ – 2026

Description

Hemerocallis ‘Autumn Red’ is a striking daylily prized for its large, vibrant red flowers that bloom in late summer to early autumn, providing a rich splash of colour as the season changes. The trumpet-shaped blooms rise above dense clumps of arching, strap-like green foliage, adding height and texture to borders, mixed perennial plantings, and cottage-style gardens. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, enhancing its ecological value alongside its ornamental appeal.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with fertile, moist but well-drained soil, Hemerocallis ‘Autumn Red’ is hardy and low-maintenance. Removing spent blooms and occasional division of congested clumps helps maintain strong flowering and vigorous growth. With its long-lasting autumn display, bold colouring, and resilient nature, Hemerocallis ‘Autumn Red’ is a dependable perennial for extending seasonal interest in a variety of garden settings.
