Description
Hemerocallis ‘Anzac’ is a bold and reliable daylily known for its large, rich red blooms with slightly ruffled petals that bring strong colour impact to the summer garden. Flowering in midsummer, the trumpet-shaped flowers rise above tidy clumps of arching, strap-like green foliage, creating vibrant highlights in borders, mixed perennial beds, and cottage-style gardens. Its nectar-rich flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies, making it a valuable choice for wildlife-friendly planting schemes as well as ornamental displays.
This cultivar performs best in full sun to partial shade and prefers fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Hardy and easy to grow, it requires little care beyond removing spent flowers and dividing congested clumps every few years to maintain strong flowering. With its vivid colour, resilience, and long-lasting seasonal interest, Hemerocallis ‘Anzac’ is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a dependable and eye-catching perennial.
