Description
Helenium \’Biedermeier\’ is a hardy perennial admired for its vibrant orange flowers with golden centres that bloom from midsummer into autumn, creating a long-lasting and eye-catching display. The daisy-like blooms are borne on upright stems above clumps of bright green foliage, adding height, texture, and structure to borders, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. Its flowers attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies, providing both ornamental and ecological value.
Thriving in full sun with moist, fertile, well-drained soil, Helenium \’Biedermeier\’ is low-maintenance and easy to grow. Deadheading spent flowers encourages prolonged bloom, while cutting back in spring maintains compact and healthy growth. Hardy and resilient, this cultivar provides reliable late-summer to autumn colour and pairs beautifully with ornamental grasses or other late-flowering perennials.
