Grape ‘Himrod’

Description

This is a fantastic, fast-growing vine that reliably yields large, heavy clusters of delicious, seedless golden-green grapes. Home gardeners highly prize it for its sweet flavour, lack of annoying seeds, and impressive vigour. It is a heavy producer that will quickly scramble over any structure it is given.

To care for ‘Himrod’, plant it in full sun and perfectly drained loamy or sandy soil. Because it is such a heavy producer, you will often need to “thin” the fruitsnipping out some of the tiny, developing grapes with scissors in midsummer so the remaining ones have the space to swell into large, sweet berries. Tie its curling tendrils into your wire system and execute a strict winter pruning routine.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
